The Fabrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre (FNMT), in association with the Casa Real de la Moneda, have launched (28th September) their sixth set of coins in the series entitled “Jewels of Numismatics,” which this year is dedicated to the 400th Anniversary of the Madrid Mint. The esteemed and historic Madrid Mint, direct precedent of the Spanish Royal Mint, was founded by Royal Warrant proclaimed by HM King Philip III in 1614.
